How much should I charge for my tent?
- This really depends on the size, quality and type of tent you are thinking of lending out. If you own a large family tent or a high-end technical wild camping tent, you can charge more than if you have a small festival pop-up tent designed for one person.
- There are a variety of tents on the website that you can look at to compare.
How do I protect against my tent getting damaged?
This is an important question. There are number of ways you can ensure that your tent is treated with respect and care.
- Communicate: Get to know the user a bit before agreeing to the booking. Ask them online what they will be using your tent for and where they will be taking it. Get as much detail as you can.
- Deposit: Set a returnable deposit amount that makes sense to you. This will only be returned top the borrower once you have clicked the ‘item returned’ button in your dashboard.
- Person to person: Try to meet the tent user by either dropping the tent off or asking them to pick it up. Then you can tell them about pitching the tent and pass them some instructions on how to look after it properly.
- Information: Take some pictures and write instructions to help the tent user pitch your tent. Send them a video link with a visual explanation of how to pitch and take your tent down.
- Review: We are working on the review system, it is not yet available.
