How it began
🏕 Tentshare broke ground in 2020 when founder Rebecca Heaps hired out her bell tent to neighbours looking to give their kids the glamping experience without the burden of purchasing, storing and maintaining.
💡 That was the lightbulb moment and as of today campers, glampers and festival goers save time, money and the environment as part of our sustainable community.

We understand that accidents happen, and we wouldn’t want anyone to fall out. Therefore, Tentshare acts a mediator to help resolve any issues, in the unlikely event that anything should happen. After all, we’re trying to build a friendly and harmonious community here!

We understand that you love your tent and camping gear. To protect your camping gear, you can ask for a returnable damage deposit amount from the borrower. You set the deposit amount. Tentshare holds this amount until your gear is returned in good order. We’ve also created the Tentshare Pledge based on trustworthiness, treating each other with respect and equality, respecting nature and peace. We ask every member of our community to sign this pledge and encourage you to communicate with renters ahead of their hire so that everyone is on the same page.
