The inception of MotherOceanBlue came about after logging 85 dives in 2017 and to counter the frustration demonstrated by 2019’s Greta Thunberg climate strikes, “we seek to support the voices of our youth and invite them to be what they should be – a valuable inclusion to a global problem.” Zakia’s shark fascination began like most divers – with an underwater encounter. Her search for answers began and ignited a deep passion for the ocean and the plight of sharks. Zakia is an award winning design and marketing professional, specialising in building strategy, branding for social media, design and beyond. One Ocean Global Ambassador. Passionate conservationist. Certified PADI Advanced Rescue Diver. Zakia lives with her two boys in Warwickshire, UK.
MotherOceanBlue was created to elicit social change through education at a transformational age for young students, the ages of 10-15 years old. An education solution I designed for students to gain a deeper knowledge of the planet with a focus on problems/issues created by human impact.
